about us

The City of Bolivar Municipal Center is located in the heart of Bolivar.  The municipal center houses the administrative offices, the city council chambers, a multi-purpose gymnasium, and a multi-purpose community events room.

The staff of the City of Bolivar cordially invite you to visit the municipal center if you have any questions regarding city government.  We are honored to be of service to the residents of Bolivar.

The city clerk & recorder is responsible for the maintenance of all public meeting documents.  Ms. Rhea also serves as an administrative assistant to the mayor and manages the daily operations of the mayor's office.

The Bolivar City Council is comprised of a total eight (8) elected members representing the two districts of Bolivar equally.

The Bolivar City Council meets on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 PM in the council chambers of the Bolivar Municipal Center.

The city administrative staff is responsible for the oversight and management of the fiscal budget, grants management and administration, and city finance.

 

The administrative staff is well-versed in the daily operation of all city services.  If you have any questions regarding general city services, city tax statements, building permits and application, or other permits required, please feel free to contact our staff at (731) 658-2020 for assistance. 

COMMUNITY ROOM

The municipal center community room is a multi-purpose space available for rental by members of the community.  For information regarding room rental, please contact LaTosha Neely at

The Bolivar Municipal Center is accessible to persons with disabilities.  Persons with special needs who wish to attend public meetings should contact city hall at (731) 658-2020 at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled meeting should special accommodations be necessary.
