August’s neighbor is Mrs. Heather Brooks. Like last month’s neighbor, Heather is not one of those neighbors who was born and raised here. She CHOSE to make Bolivar her home. Heather is originally from Lauderdale County. She attended school there followed by college at Dyersburg State Community College where she met our very own, Stephen Brooks. Heather moved to Bolivar when she married Stephen. Heather and Stephen have been married for 10 years and work together in the family-owned business (Brooks Auto) with Stephen’s parents. They have one son who loves playing baseball.
Heather has adopted Bolivar as her second home. Heather says that motherhood and work are her passions. She has an infectious smile and adores all of her customers at Brooks Auto. She has become friends with many of her customers and loves Bolivar for that small-town friendly atmosphere.
